blog16th January 2010 Girls on film. Two minutes later. Girls on film. Finally rearranged the Spring/Summer photo shoot after snow cancelled play earlier in the week. Wow, it's hard to get so many people in the same palce at the same time. Lucie the photographer www.luciegoodayle.com is great at pulling these shoots together and she found us two great models in Marta and Ildiko. She also found an amazing fashion graduate from Northbrook College called Afton who brought a massive suitcase of accessories and styled the whole shoot. ayache09@hotmail.com Dave from Damage in Brighton did Ildiko's hair and Nina took care of the make-up and hair for the shoot. ninasagri@googlemail.com Special thanks to Thomas, Katie and Charlie too. Here are a couple of my favourite shots. The collection will be online sometime towards the end of February. x

11th December 2009 Felisa and Matt's Engagment. "What am i doing?" is the question i sometimes ask myself. "Designing and making clothes for women...i need to get a regular job." And then things like this happen, an email from out of the blue, and doing what i do and not really making a decent living out of it (yet!) makes it all worthwhile:
"Hi there! I was curious if your dresses were sold anywhere in Chicago, IL, USA? I bought a Yamama dress in Edinburgh and absolutely LOVE it!! I took my engagement pictures in it, and everyone keeps asking me where I got it!"
Check out a couple of Felisa Limon and Matt's Engagment photos here by photographer Michael Rastall. Felisa looks absolutely stunning in the Daisy dress in buttercup yellow - her favourite colour she tells me! Can't wait for the wedding photos!

25th September 2009 Let there be lovin' The phone rings and it's none other than super-talented Alice Russell ! "Can we use some of your dresses in our latest video? We need them yesterday already." Director Steve Glashier had recommended us for some help with the wardrobe on the video and it was all systems go. Yamama's absolutely thrilled to have dressed the 3 gorgeous backing singers, in our famous puffball dresses....check it out! |
